So, I've got my electronics wired up, and I'm trying to bind my Spektrum. The LemonRx random starts lighting up with no rhyme or reason, bind plug or no. And whilst I'll just be trying to figure it out, the motors will just start randomly firing off. And during all of this, the Spektrum won't enter bind mode.

Any idea what's going on here?

Are you sure you've got the bind plug in the right holes on the rx?

Yep. I've sorted the LED problem, and it hasn't had a spasm for a while, but the Spektrum still won't enter bind mode.

Are you trying to put it into bind mode right? Turn the spektrum off, then holding the trainer switch turn it on.

Yep, doing that. It just doesn't enter bind mode.

What model is the spektrum?

Dx6i. Anyway, I've developed bigger problems, meaning AWS 50 is not happening. Namely, either my Balance Charger or Battery has gone, meaning I can't test anything as I no longer have power.

It's also a bit far for a "It might work." I live 4 hours away and I'm 14. Kinda hard to get transport.

So to revive my own post, problem is fixed, the switch was broke.
