The iron and grease proof paper worked well but then I overdid the heat and ruined the surface.
On the glue front I have tried some of the Hafixs Cyanoacrylate glue and it appears to stick very well.
Maybe it is because the nylon absorbs moister meaning the glue can penetrate the surface.

Here are two nylon parts that I glued with the Hafixs Cyno and when I broke it the nylon not the joint failed.

Hi Peter,
May be worth checking the failure rates of the other layers, try snapping the Nylon print above to see if the layers break too, as it could be a sign that the temperature is slightly too low and the layers are not sticking together 100%. As that fail was along a single layer it could be a result of that layer failing to stick properly. I would have expected a test like this to fracture across multiple layers. But at least it showed the glue did not fail!

I think you are right but that was a piece cut from the first run I did with the nylon that came partly loose from the bed so it is probably not an ideal print.
With all the testing of the nylon the walker has been a little slow progressing but I now at least have something that moves if not yet spinning.
As can be seen from the video the weight needs to be further forward to stop it lifting the front when advancing but at least it moves fairly well and seems to land on its feet from most if not all positions.

I have just been trying to get the spinner running and having all sorts of problems.
I am using a Turnigy C2028 and it starts on its own but as soon as you try and put a useful weight of blade on it has all sorts of problem starting up.
I bought two of these motors and the other one is in my green spinnner Combatant and that has always been difficult to start even on 3 cells.
I have tried 3 different controllers in that and never really fixed the problem so I have decided to change the motor.
I have a couple of C2024 which are the same basic size and shape just 4 mm shorter.
A quick test and it span up every time without problem so I am having to redesign the chassis to suit so a bit more of a delay.
Still it means I can try printing the new chassis in the nylon, as it is a much more complex print than I have tried in it before, it should be a good test.
To help the front lifting problem I have moved the spinner forward by 4mm and I have a few more dyes on order so it could end up almost any colour. 8)

The chassis is printed but the dyes haven't arrived yet so I have been looking at materials on the internet and found a new printable Polycarb.
Polymaker PC-MAX looks like a good material that prints between 250 and 270 C so you don't need a special head.
No one seems to stock it in this country yet so I have ordered a roll direct form polymaker's Netherlands distribution center (I think ).
I will let you know how I get on as always.

The dyes arrived today, purple, blue, red and orange as below.

Under instruction from my oldest granddaughter orange was selected for the walker.

I haven't quite decided abut the legs yet as green does't look too bad and the nylon ones are a bit flexible.
