The first 3 pins were he standard servo output and the fourth was the full battery voltage.

I then supplied a 4 way connector shell ( the same as the one for the motors in the picture above ) that if you required it, you could fit the pins of the servo / brushless contoller into, moving the 2nd pin (+5v) to the 4th position (+ bat).
The main problems were it was possible to plug the connector in incorrectly and cause possible damage so I fitted a red sleeve on the +bat pin to help prevent this.
Also some servo's started using pins that did not fit my standard 4 way shell.
All these connectors make for a bigger and heavier controller.
