Big thanks to Dave for hosting the event and to Dave L for doing the organising and putting up with me being a bit useless.

We are snug in our London hotel now. Great event, we had loads of fun. I did better than I expected and Gemma did her best yet. Big thanks to Dave for hosting, it was a big, big task and everything got done. Thanks to Will too for ferrying us. Well done Alex for winning.

It was a really great event and I'm so happy that I was able to take that last step from getting to the final group to winning the event! There was some amazing competition and probably some of the most varied style of robots I've seen in an AWS. Huge thanks to Dave for organising and to everyone who competed.
The beetleweights were great with some awesome fights coming out of the arena (A weight class I might have to get into once I sort out my Feathers and Heavy ).
I just can't wait for the next event now

Sorry I couldn't make it, the night shoot was longer than expected and I didn't get up until the AWS had started.
Congrats to everyone, looks like and awesome event.

Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
Thanks to Dave, Dave, Will and co. for running another great event, and congratulations to the winners!
I'm really disappointed that Void's weapon servo broke 2 rounds before the finals, who knows what could've happened had that not been the case. But all props to Alex, his driving was excellent like always. After every AWS I always say I need to make time for driving practice, but I never do. I should probably take my own advice one of these times.
I'm looking at the possibility of hosting the next one in Coventry, at the same venue as AWS39 (which I've had great feedback about). I'll know within the next week or so, so I'll post when I do.

Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
I have just finished sorting the results charts.
There was a slight slip on the fleas where we didn't actually run the final.
Because a 16 way subchart was used we got as far as first and second in group but the second place had only lost one fight and so should have been in the final with the first in group. Having said that Ickle was going so well it probably wouldn't have made any difference.
Here are the results.

Antweight Finals
Antweight rounds ( I have put these in just as links so they don't take up too much space.)
