So here is some info on my latest which is a new version of Combatant.
To look at it is much more like Variant but as it is a fixed configuration robot and the present Combatant is next to useless it is the new Combatant.
Variant has always been quite good at doing damage but could do with being a bit more stable and less prone to flying out of the arena.
To this end the new version is lower and wider and should have a larger diameter weapon.
Here is the chassis machine out of 3.2mm fibreglass.
Here all the parts laid in place roughly.
Here it is up the right way it may well need slightly large wheels to stop the blade grounding when inverted.
All up weight at present less blade and tyres is just under 100 gms.
I like the way the frame is milled to hold the motors and gearboxes, makes me wish I had one/knew how to use one, hehe!
