The robot is now complete except the actual cutting heads and its 12gms under weight.
It uses the new module that combines a speed controller and a Planet R6M receiver as I was very limited on space.
Although I always had faith in my theory about Gyro effects on turning  it is nice when the tests prove them right.

I'm really liking the look of that robot Pete :) Can't wait to fight it.

How high off the floor is that 'blade' when inverted ?

It can be adjusted a bit by sliding the mounting tube up and down the motor case but as it stands it is 5mm normally and 9mm inverted. The other nice thing about the design is you don't have to drag the disc round to face the opposition you just rotate the wheels out of the way so it should be very difficult for an attacker to approach from an unwanted directions.

...doesn't that equal 're-evaluation of the robots falling off arena rule'?

Thats the idea Joey the new Combatant although it didn't do too well was much more stable now this and next the walker. I have enough trouble driving stable robots let alone ones that jump out of the arena at the least provacation. We are all going to have to up our game if we are going to stop Andy's bid for world domination.

With some experience from other countries outside England, I think we can manage Andy. Am I right Tim and Leo? :)

I know what you mean I am sure Tim and Leo are sharpening their spinners as we speak.
It will be good to see them again as it was to see you at AWS30.
