Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
It looks like his pictures are hosted on the FRA (uploaded there and he copied the link). This means if you're not logged into the FRA forum you won't be able to see it.
I suggest coolspeedbot switches to an image hoster like imgur.

Thanks Alex, logged in and the images have now shown up! I would recommend imgur too.
Great to see a reflection on design after AWS and seems like with improvements this could be a fantastic bot. Looking good!

Oh didn't know you needed to log into the FRA to see the pics, guess I'll give imgur a go.Shakey wrote:It looks like his pictures are hosted on the FRA (uploaded there and he copied the link). This means if you're not logged into the FRA forum you won't be able to see it.

Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
I really like the design of you robot (the blue and the wolf's head). I'm also happy to see you using Maya to design your robot. I'd been looking into some 3D software to do some work on and most sites suggested using SolidWorks: the price of that scared me!
Thanks for keeping this blog, very useful for me as a beginner =)

Re: Meet Killer-Wolf
thanks, the design has a evolved from a rc lego robot I built back in 2008-2010 called Killer I then moved over to Antweight robots in 2015, starting with Alpha-Wolf (Killer 4) but it broke due to poor construction, then came Killer-Wolf 1 (killer 5) my best design to date, sadly got knocked out very early due to drive issues and my inexperience. Killer-Wolf 1.5 (Killer 5.5) improving on the design.Reala wrote:I really like the design of you robot (the blue and the wolf's head). I'm also happy to see you using Maya to design your robot. The logo was originally a logo for a superhero character I am working on, after scraping the logo for use on the character I decided to give it to Killer-Wolf.
Well Maya is a tool of my trade seeing as I'm a animator and character rigger, I not long ago learned that Maya was working at the scale of centimetres and quickly started to use it for my robot designs.
in fact 1.5's design was used in a little animation I did at university:

I can see them
That very charger is used by a few people I think, it has the standard four-button interface used by 90% of chargers so should be good. Having a built-in power supply is good too as then you don't need to carry a brick with you!
