Dan it is not just the money it is the support your family gives to you in attending and even organising events that makes it all possible.

i know Peter. my parents are brilliant. without their support i'd never have gotten into this sport so i am extremely grateful to them.

i'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all the roboteers who have helped us over the last couple of years. in particular: Dave Weston for helping us get started, Rory and Peter for building speed controllers for my robots and haz for giving me a disc for my next ant project. thanks very much everybody and merry christmas by the way.

back to nano stuff, it looks like my nanoweight will be a very tiny version of fleadom fighter. as well as an individual nanoweight competitor, it will also be a cluster botlet in my brand new clusterbot U.N.I.T ( united nations intelligence taskforce. ) this clusterbot will replace language timmothy cluster in my team so it looks like my ant team for antfreeze will be: hogi, cutup, thunder strike and U.N.I.T.

If you did need a driver for the nano, I would be very pleased to take the opportunity. I can now drive either with or without mixing so if you need a hand, just let me know! :-)

to charge one of those batterys in Rory's link, could we just solder another couple of wires to it and then use crocodile clips to charge it? as for the nano itself, i built it today, it'll be a bit tight in the cube but it should go in on the diagonal. it only weighs 15 grams at the moment but that's without the battery. the chasis is made out of 1mm HDPE so it shouldn't be effected by nano spinners too badly. here's a pic.

I built this little charge port in mine:

Image

It's a spare bind plug (or any servo connector) cut down to 2 pins, I then have that charge lead which is 2 header pins soldered to wires with a JST on the other end so I just plug it into my antweight LiPo charger. The servo plug is wired straight to the +ve and -ve of the battery, it doesn't have polarity protection so just watch out when you charge.
