It is pretty much 1mm,with a few pieces at 1.5.apart from the motor mounts which are 2mm,and a 3mm sq spar running between them. I tried to brace it wherever I could.
While playing artound,I have had a few interesting ideas,so plenty of miles in this project for sure!
Good point with the armour mounts.I will thicken those bits for sure.

Just when I think I am starting to get the hang of Sketchup I run into another thing.
I am trying to draw up the brushless motor I use in my spinners and although I have managed to get the tapered section OK I cant seem to generate the 4 holes as they are both on the flat and the conical section. Any ideas.
Peter, I assume you mean the centres of the holes are more-or-less on the edge of the chamfer so that part of the edge of the hole is on the flat and part of it is on the chamfer?
If so, then you may have to re-draw the part in a different order to get it to work. I'm not experienced with Sketchup, but from general 3D CAD experience I think you may need to do it like this:
Draw the base of the motor as a circle with 4 mounting ears.
Extrude this to create the thickness of the mounting ears.
Draw the motor body as a circle.
Extrude the body to the required height.
Draw the holes and extrude them through to the base of the body.
Apply the chamfer to the top of the body to the required size.
This way, you can simply draw the holes on a flat surface, then the chamfer will correctly apply itself to the holes for you.
Hope this makes sense and you don't need to undo too much work!
Personally,I use paper pickup rollers from various laser printers that I encounter from time to time in my work.
I have been hoarding them for a few months now and have a fair supply of the white ones,which I reckon are very grippy,and a good size.
Everyone has their different preferences ,though.
Gary that is virtually what I did after a couple of attempts but as you can see when I apply the taper in Sketchup it goes rather strange,
If I try to delete the extra part it ends up with lumps or the taper missing.
Have you tried creating the holes from the opposite side?
i.e. draw the holes on the base (before or after chamfering the top) and extrude them through the entire shape.
I think that should work, but I must confess I don't quite understand the results you have obtained so far...
Peter extrude the cylinder right through the cone then right clicked the curved face of the cylinder and select intersect with model, then delete unecessary lines and it should leave a hole, you may have to go and fill in some lines on the inside as it's a bit random.
