AntTrap:

I meant Pete's flea, I've had a few run-in's with Fleabite before.

Pete: You taking De-Flea as well ?

We'll have more fleas at this event that there were ants at AWS 31 :P

BTW, I suggest we do the fleas AFTER the first few rounds :)

Dave, the AWS is getting so big (and still growing!) that we will HAVE to run fleas etc AFTER the AWS is complete. Sorry, but we only have the hall for a limited time. There should be enough time for fleas at least as we don't need to finish until 5, but we do need to be completely cleared up and out of the venue by 6:00.

Ok, I just hope Spall and my fleas don't run into Waller's bunch in the main competition :). Its refreshing to see such a large turn-out :) (Ants and Fleas)

Razordave yes it fits the 3 inch cube but deflea is no longer complete I seem to have removed the electronics at some time so it won't be there.
As to the speed of build the blade which is the bit that usually takes most time is an old militant blade with 5mm cut off each end.
Dave26 you could be right it is a bit quick.

In light of recent events (Peter!),I have decided to revise the armoured flipper end on Bruce.
Being my first time () at one of these events,I thought I would ask for some advice. At the moment I have a small piece of 0.15mm Titanium superglued(:o) on the end, which is lovely and thin, and gets under things very well, but I doubt it has much protection when up against any kind of spinner.I think I could bolt on a pice of 1mm thick aluminium, which I think would give alot better protection?
Any opinions welcome!
Cheers James

well if its anything like Variant, aluminium will not stand up to spinners. I used 1mm against Variant and it got ripped to shreads, same thing happened with Little Devil when I used it against Fleabite the first time. If you think you can fashion a wedge from it on the day, I have some 0.5mm Titanium which may be of some use

Cheers for the offer razerdave!
I will try 1.5mm ally, but I will polish it so much that my enemy's blows will be repelled by the blinding flashes of their own reflection.
or summin,or nuthin. :-?

The main thing with front armour is to try haveing no edges to get hold of.
If the spinner hits a glancing blow almost any armour thickness works but if the blade manages to hook the edge of the armour then it will normally either cut it or rip it off.
