AWS68

Post by James Williams »

AWS68 will be held on the 29th July in the West Midlands, about 7 miles from J2 of the M5.

The full address is : Brockmoor Community Centre, Pensnett Rd, Brockmoor, Brierley Hill DY5 3YH
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Bro ... 2F1tk6zyd5

There is onsite parking available & a bus stop right outside the venue, as well as a large shopping centre a few minutes down the road. There are a few train stations somewhat close by but not close enough to walk sadly.

We will be arriving to setup at 9am, if anyone wishes to help that would be appreciated. I hope to have tech check up & running by 9:30 & starting the competition by 11:30, with the intention of ending by 6:00.

The competition will be a standard double elimination bracket following the standard AWS ruleset & the usual signup limit of 3 entries & an extra if it's a walker or cluster. Fights will be 2 minutes long. Aggressor rule. At tech check we will allow a 2g margin of error for entries, but we will also be checking that all switches/links are accessible without the use of any tools.

The venue has some but probably not enough power outlets, please bring extension leads if you can.

The venue has kindly offered us the use of their tuck shop & will be selling snacks & hot drinks. There is also a few takeaways close by as well as a supermarket & a lot of the usual fast food outlets at the shopping centre.

I will not be asking for an entry fee but I greatly appreciate any donations :)
