I know what to do with antlog once the draw is done but clueless before that. Is Gary coming? Or Rhys, if he ran it at his event?

Sorry, I can't make it
Doing the draw is simply a matter of entering all the robots and teams and hitting the "Do Draw" button
When the spreadsheet has been built, go to the "Finals" sheet and click the "Run Event" button.
The most important thing is to start with the original AntLog file. Don't try to re-use the file from an old AWS, it doesn't work properly.
For lovers of hard manual labour, the paper sheets are available here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/g0xan/robots/ but the manual draw takes quite some time (as Dave & Gemma know!).

Happy to do a paper draw but it takes so long that it now creates time issues. I'd suggest downloading AntLog (soon!) and doing a couple of dummy runs.

I've used Antlog for two events and it really is the most user friendly thing ever. Just do a pretend practice event so that you know exactly how to set it up. A few bits of advice:
- When doing sign up and tech check, create a separate new spreadsheet with the team name and robot names on. Then if there's any problems you can easily do the draw again.
- DON'T EVER try and amend the draw once it's been done. I tried to manually add a robot instead of doing the draw again, and it messed the results of one of the groups up.

I'm doing tech checks whilst the guys set up so it'll be on paper for them, nice and easy.
I'm guessing I just need to keep each robot in each team as normal? Then they can just enter that into the log?
Also, are we running a 2min fight limit, or 3?

antlog is really easy to use once it's downloaded. i've used it for two events in the past.

I'll have a play with it. Gonna try get hold of a projector (my dad's sorting that) so people can see when their fights are.
Is anyone gonna be able to to bring a camera? My dad seems to have lost his sadly, so we're currently cameraless and I'd rather not repeat the setup for the last event
