Yeah, lets not panic yet people, the AWS is currently looking to be about the same as before and we fit those in fine. Though it would probably help if anyone left to sign up gets on with it!

Are those Bristol people still planning to come? Do they know to sign up?

yeah, we may just have to drop the annihilator and tag team tournaments.

my cousins will be attending but it's questionable as to whether or not they'll be arriving on time to sign up as they are coming from the isle of wight.

Just over a week to go and still a vast number of usual suspects yet to sign up or declare they're not coming. Andy, Welsh Andy, Ceri, The Woods, Alasdair, the three teams associated with Antroboteer, the Bristol guys, Callum, Alex, and any other Reading lot who may be entering...that's a lot of people! Even discounting Bristol its a rough estimate of up to 35 more antweights, let alone other classes. I'm starting to think we should put a deadline on signing up. If this was my event to organise and I had a week to go and there was still the vague possibility of adding all those people to the sign up sheet, I'd get a bit stressed about it! Get a move on peeps, remember that signing up isn't for your benefit, its for someone else's.

Signups will not be open up to the event and will be closed beforehand. We'll announce when when we meet today. However we do know how many robots get built last minute and the weekend before. :P

I hate to ask the same questions to people who I know are very busy, but would it be possible to find out the channel on which the event will be streamed? I'd like to be able to give it to my various internet friends ahead of time :).

Thanks!

But there's no reason not to sign up just because its not built yet. One of ours isn't built yet but I know it will be so its been signed up for ages. Better to have an overestimate for the number to drop on the day surely, than have some turn up unexpectedly?

Not really the Reading lot of course as you're running it and can adjust for it, I just mean in general.

That is true but this will be an event that is more strict on signups. If you miss the signups then they may simply not be accepted on the day if numbers are (as expected) large. We are still giving ourselves the buffer time we need while minimising that error. Like I said Rory, Will and I will be meeting in a few hours and will work the final details and announce the signup close time.

It's okay Dave, we've got this!

I know you've got this. My comments aren't aimed at the organisers, more at people who want to come but don't bother signing up til the last minute. I know Craig got a bit annoyed at his when some people were still signing up at 11pm the night before!
