they have already Dave or rather i did it on their behalf. find red ant, black demon and white lightning ant, those are their robots. red ant and white lightning ant are earlier versions of Will's kits, black demon is a 2WD pusher a bit like old Hogi ( but better ) they can't wait! :)

Oh I never realised those guys were your cousins. Yeah, I know their robots from the videos of your event.

After some slick negotiation at work, I can now come to the AWS (just registered). Now I need to quickly put them back together again (meaning as we all know, working flat out till 3 AM the morning of the event to get more than 1 wheel working)

It's that time again as well for any volunteers to drive Big Boss Bird Behaving Badly. PM me if your interested (battle music may be optional).

I`ve overlooked ordering some batteries for this event!
Has anyone got / know where I can get some 2s 180mah?
I`ve ordered from hobbyking on the chance they will be here (2-3 days delivery) but ideally somewhere in the midlands where I can buy over the counter would be good, or online with a fast delivery.
I have some but it will mean bat changes so all is not lost, just a big pita.

Robot Birds have always been super speedy out to me, even in Northern Ireland.

Here's a map of how to find the venue once you've got to the uni:

Image

The venue's shown by the red arrow, and the best entrance to use is shown by the blue arrow.

You're looking for Park House:

Image

If the carpark outside gets full, then just use one of the other carparks near by; they're free at weekends.

Go through the main doors and follow signs to the Meadow Suite (or just follow the signs to the AWS if we're suitably organised :P )

Also, the venue owners don't want us eating our own food on the premises, but you can either buy food at Eat At The Square which is to the left of Park House as you arrive, or you can eat packed lunches outside.

Does the postcode on the original post work well enough in a sat nav? I know these venues have a habit of not being where the postcode takes you...lol
