Anyone with a spare flea feel like doing a cluster?

Before you criticize another person, first walk a mile in their shoes. Then, when you critisize them, you'll be a mile away and have their shoes.

I don't mind helping with the draws and maybe even recording results/calling some of the fights, but I'll need some time to sort robots out etc...
maybe it would be good if there were a few people that could swap round so its not one person for the whole time?

As an experienced event organiser/loudmouth, I'm also happy to asist, long as I get enough chance to look after mine and Gemma's robots too (and Gemma of course).

We'd be available for the post AWS meal too.

First post updated with an image of the site, showing parking, entrances, etc.

I'll do a bit more thinking about the draws/fight calling system and come up with something that's easy enough for multiple people to moderate. Thanks for the offers of assistance.

Well, looks like I'm going to be able to attend after all. Sorry Dave, you'll have to get past the might of Skid Mark!

Been some years since I've been to Coventry too...my old stamping ground. Looked up my old houses on street view and didn't recognise the place! :o

Blimey - just seen where it is...I used to live in Cheylesmore and Earlsdon, which isn't far away. Nice side of town, anyway.

Will you be needing the arena as it needs a little sprucing up if you do.

Always bring the arena Peter! Just in case. We nearly paniced at Will's event when Craig cancelled and we thought we'd be without one. lol

Return of the Smart bots

Post by Lincoln »

After a few years missing out on the AWS (we took part in 15, 16 & 18) the SmartAnt series of robot are making a comback - converted from Bluetooth to DSM2 remote control.

Latest addition - SmartFlea includes a custom 3d CAD frame which is currently being made by Shapeways - hopefully being assembled in the week before the event.

It will be great to see some familiar faces and many new ones too I am sure.

Great to hear that you're coming, Chris! It'll be good to see you again.

Pete W, your arena would be great. We'll need a second arena to run the fleaweights in in the morning, plus secondary arenas just so people can play about or test robots without interfering with the main competition are always a good thing.
