Just wanted to say thanks to Scott and Andy for a very very good AWS! The best I have been to and really raised the bar for future events.

Well done to Dave for finally winning the AWS! You really deserved it and it's been long overdue! Well done to everyone else who won as well.

I had several issues with my ants but since they all went out pretty early on it meant I got to have a go on the commentary which I really enjoyed. I do apologise to anyone that had to keep listening to me all afternoon :D

Thanks again to everyone who made it such a fun event and hope to see you all in Reading next March for AWS 40.

Thanks to Scott and Andy, all your preparation and hard work on the day certainly paid off and made for an excellently organised and successful event. Congratulations to the two Daves on their wins. Was great to see the usual faces again and also nice to see some new faces also.

I think the larger arena certainly made for some interesting fights with some approaching the full 3 minute mark!

Looking forward to another great event in Reading!

Peter - Thanks for the link, just what I was looking for .

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations. If you couldn't tell, I was pretty happy/amazed to win! I was beginning to think my crude build techniques would mean I was always resigned to be an also-ran, and still have trouble accepting I actually won!

Huge thanks to Scott and Andy for running everything, and to everyone for being so nice and supportive of my 'celebrations'.

The big arena was so much of an improvement, and the decreased drop off made everything much more interesting too. I hope we can continue along these lines. :D

A huge thanks from me too for all the organising that went into this AWS, it was really slick. Congrats to Dave and all the other winners and I'll see you all in Reading :wink:

Again thanks to all for organising the event. It went extremely well. We thought the venue was great (loved the seating to watch the fights), being able to see who our robots were fighting next, the pit area, new arena, video etc. My son was overjoyed at winning the warm up event, looking forward to Reading.

Never realised I came fourth as well! The whole thing is a blur. Looking at that, the luck of the draw had a LOT to do with winning. Frag Frog had a much harder time to get through than Kellog's Corn Snake. My fave fights of mine were definitely Frag Frog vs The Almighty Kiwi and Sebastian Muzzlewhale vs Spyro 2. That one was proper destruction!

Right, video/YouTube expertise would be appreciated;

I've got 2 videos, one at ~3gb, containing the fleaweights and some of the early fights of the AWS, and one at ~5gb, containing the rest of the AWS, tag-teams, melees, etc.

My current thought is edit the videos so that we have 3 main videos (FWS, AWS, extras), and upload these as 3 seperate videos. The idea of cutting all of the videos into individual fights is not a very appealing one, due to how long it would take, and additionally there are commentary conversations that go on between fights that would either be lost or split up.

As a compromise, I could upload the videos in full, and then someone with the time could go through them and timestamp the beginnings of various fights, so people could skip around if they wanted?

Sound good?
