Signed up, looking forward to this :) Chef Excellence (for which I absolve myself of all responsibility for the concept of) needs building, and the other two need *deep, deep sigh* name labels, but apart from that I'm pretty much all ready :)

Can't make it either, pretty disappointed but that's what you get for collecting commitments liable to fall on a saturday for years and sticking to all of them

Hi All,

Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately but I think Dave has covered most things.

As he said we will be checking that every robot has its name displayed on it.

Also after testing Inertia I think it would be a good idea to check that all the spinners failsafe- this is in the rules but has not been checked for a while.

The last thing I'm working on are some prizes for the winners of the competitions and awards- don't get too excited though :)

How would you check that all the spinners failsafe Will? I know its probably a good idea to, but it would probably involve putting each one individually into the arena and spinning them up, which could be time consuming and extend the tech check by a fair bit. Is it safe to assume that all spinners running on Spectrum failsafe anyway? (As they do), and then maybe just test any spinners not on Spectrum?
Or are you going to have to check them all? I know we SHOULD check them all...just wondered on the process.

Since we should have 2 arenas running we should be able to check them all fairly quickly. Even the ones on spektrum need to be checked as it is possible that the failsafes have been set in the wrong position- Tempest 2 suffered from this issue.

With the number of spinners going and how dangerous some of them are, I would prefer to check them all just to be on the safe side.

So to speed up the process could eveyone with a spinner please ensure that your failsafes are set correctly!!

I guess it should be done, yeah. Might be a good idea to tell people how to make sure it failsafes. My DX5e has no settings for example. Do you spin it up and then turn off the transmitter? Because that could cause issues if it doesn't work...lol
