Re: AWS 43- University of Reading- Sat 8th March 2014
Does anyone have a spare 35mm EDF fan I could use on Saturday, mine decided it was better flying across the floor in bits? I have ordered a spare from robotbirds but I don't think I am going to have it by Saturday.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I do have an EDF40H not in use yet but as the number suggests it is 40mm.

Hi Guys,
Here are all the details for Saturday
The event will be held in the Palmer Building, ground floor. The first event will start at 11am with the
main competition beginning at 12.30pm. There will be plenty of spectator space in the main lecture
theatre of Palmer and the event will also be streamed live on the Internet. There will also be some
static displays including one from the Reading Rep Rap group demonstrating their home build 3D
printers.
The event has been kindly sponsored by RoboLaw, an EU project which is investigating the impact of
the development of robotic technologies on the Law, and the Berkshire branch of the Institution of
Engineering and Technology, which has a remit to promote Engineering and Technology, especially
to younger people.
If you want to see last year’s event you can visit the YouTube Page

I'll be there earlier to help set up, plus I know a few folks need some stuff doing to their robot beforehand.
Also, taken you a whole year to put AWS 40 up on the net? Come on man!

Guys, I think it goes without saying that timings are going to be IMMENSELY IMPORTANT on the day. We have effectively 100 robots who need double elimination. All measures are being put in place to make sure it all runs smoothly but we all need you to be on the ball, ready, prompt with arrivals, check-ins and being ready for your fight in advance. Will and his team (plus me being my usual shouty self) will be cracking down on the timing aspects, so keep it together and we should all get through fine.

Hi guys.
I am looking to sign up to this one with 3 ants, a cluster, and then two fleas (the two parts of the cluster) in the fleaweights. How should I go about this as there are but 4 slots and on the dropdown list Clusterbot isn't a category?
