today i got the motors for my featherweight
2x windscreen wiper motors...
now before you start yelling at your monitors"he should have used gold motors...he should have used drill motors etc..." can i just say this is going to be a very low-tech feather ( most of the ideas are taken from rex's robot challenge) for example, my pneumatics consists of a lemonaid bottle and 2 bicycle pumps, i do not want the total cost to go over ?250

Hi Marco, I don't know if UHMWPE is different from the stuff you're using but I'd say that its flexibility is a bonus, and I can tap UHMWPE no problem.

The treads in the HDPE will fail soon. It's just to soft and flexible.

We solve that by welding it.
