im going to do a 2 wheel drive.
staying with my chasis though.
but how affective are roll cages these days

hmm, how was that made? cast aluminium cracks easily. it also looks very heavy and probably a pain to adapt for robot use. i'd recommend using hdpe, it's light, easy to work with, cheap, and can be cut easily using a jigsaw

well it survived bieng in a fire for an hour and my dad dropping a bag of bricks on it.
plus this is free and isnt as heavy as you may think

used to be a small man operared weed digger.
my grandads shed (at the alottment )caught fire when a bunch of hooligans set it on fire.
there were like 5 dead mice :cry:

Anyway yeah i agree with pretty much everything that's been said here, start basic, a rammer or something simple. you can always adapt it later. also i urge you to drop that chassis (not literally) and trade it for something like HDPE, there's a page about it on my website.
