So lots of cutting, wire stripping and soldering :)
That is exactly right. :)

I'd personally solder a short length of wire into the +ve and -ve holes and then attach all of the servo power and battery connections to that to make it a bit easier to do.

Even though it would require a new transmitter I still really want one.

That looks like a nice bit of kit, but considering I was 35g underweight on the weekend, I'll stick to the oh so heavy 2.2g orangeRX ;) That plus my soldering skills aren't up to much.

I got my rx this morning, its smaller than it looks in Jims pictures. I bought myself a usb microscope as it wasn't much more than a maginifying glass  It looks like the through holes for the pads are 0.1mm diameter so I may have to rethink how I am going to solder this.

Yes I got mine also and they are tiny but the pads are bigger than that.
I have some 0.22 mm wire and that goes through the holes easily.

Got the old soldering iron out this evening and fitted it to a baby-o:

And with the RX soldered on

I struggled with this, not something for someone who is not confident with a soldering iron.

Nicely done. :)
Do baby O's work as dual motor control "out of the box"?
Or do they need programming up,Andrew?

The weight is about 2g for dual motor speed control and RX. My scales are only 1g accurate so I can't get much better than that unfortunately. The baby-o doesn't come rc controller out of the bag, however pololu do have an example rc code for the 3pi robot with mixing that works but for different pins I have the nano rx fitted to. The code is a bit hungry so if more complex things are required it needs a lot of reprogramming.
