Good hits require driving :P But still cool, how heavy is your disc(s)

The 10mm thick disc is just over 500g according to Autodesk and the 6mm version is around 300g so they should give a decent hit

Some progress on the beetle. Should have everything here by early next week so I hope to have it assembled by Newport hopefully :)

Looks brilliant and tiny, just as it should :) You've been rather sensible with this.. wonder if I can survive 3 mins with it

After 2 weeks of trying to chase it up I have been told that all of my waterjet parts will be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully it will be before I leave to go on holiday so I may be able to post an update tomorrow :)

Nice one Will. Where did you get your waterjetting done and were they a good price?

I used EMSEA, price was a bit steep though and delivery was 2 weeks late but I believe that was due to the courier

Hey Will, looking great!

Just out of interest, what motors are you using? I have a design in mind but as I've never attempted a beetleweight I'm slightly hesitant to invest in something that's not up to the job

Thanks Jack.

I'm using the 25mm OD pololu gear motors for this one as I had a couple left over from my uni project. Need some combat testing but should do the job. Running them on 3s lipo with botbitz ESCs.

The waterjet parts have finally arrived and are looking good. The 10mm discs are a little on the heavy side so I will probably use the 6mm ones which should still be more than strong enough for the job.
