Air Compressor
I am looking for a small air compressor that can generate 100psi for a small air tank. I have been looking at maplin but they seem to be for inflatables and would fill the tank past its limit in seconds. Something like what the behemoth guys had at aws14 would be ideal if it can generate the right pressure, does anyone know where i can get one from?

Has anyone got one of these compressors as there are 2 possibilities,
1 http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/store ... kfrom=name
2 http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/store ... kfrom=name
i would like to know how much current they are going to pull as i only have a 1A 12V supply, and would the second one have a cut off as it doesn't mention it. I wanr to get this right as i don't want to explode the air tank in my ant.
The pnumatics i have are rated at 145psi so if all this gets to expesive i will get a little cheap foot pump with a guage- i don't expect them to be 45% out

Was walking past halfords and they were as useful as ever
''How much current does this compressor draw?''
''12V mate''
Why did i bother , i also got a 5A supply thinking it would be worth a go, but unfortuantly the motor draws more than 5A. So it looks like i am going to have to keep an eye out for a cordless pump but until i find one i will just have to get a cheap and nasty foot pump.

Safety Tip:
You should never put your finger (or any other part of your body!) over the outlet of a compressor or compressed air line. Remember skin is a semi-permeable membrane, and compressed gas can be forced through it.
Gas in the blood stream is a very bad idea (when divers suffer "the bends") and can often be fatal.
Please treat all compressed gases with respect. It's a good idea to get into the habit of not putting your finger over the pipe as one day you could be dealing with a high-pressure line.
I don't know off-hand at what pressure it gets "seriously dangerous", but my compressor is rated at 200psi and I think that's enough to be wary of.
Here endeth the lesson. Have fun safely!
