A really simple mod that I do on my FS-i6's ..
Unscrew the alloy ends on the sticks, then screw them back on reversed so that the sharp "spikey" ends are not digging into your thumbs or fingers.
BTW, the FS-i6 is the defacto standard in our local scene.
Mike.
Huh! I thought they were for making sure that you have control over the stick. Are you a thumber or a pincher?

I've seen some really wide end ones that didn't look so sharp that might be trying to get wider and less sharp at the same time.

I am a thumber who aspires to be a pincher with a lighter touch :D
The really wide ones are probably nicer, but I was just offering a very simple upgrade.

i have 1 original spikey stick for weapons... i dont find it uncomfortable to use... i then have drive side with one that closer resembles a thumb stick on a ps4 controller...

i got this for more surface area to grip on rather than the original being uncomfortable.

but i have seen a few that flip the sticks over so its fairly common

I'm not criticizing this, just trying to understand since I don't even have my transmitters yet and I'm wondering about mods during the wait time...

Thanks everyone, seems to be unanimous then.
Something I did with transmitter sticks previously is put some heat shrink on them. Helps identify them from everyone else’s too.
The list is very basic but I’ll post it anyway when I’ve cleaned it up.
I agree, it would be great to have something that is kept up to date on here somewhere.

To throw in another option, I know of a few people (myself included) who use the OrangeRX transmitters which in the UK at least is DSMX only I believe. International versions also support DSM2.
Are these as simple to set up as the FS-i6?

Also, a broader question for the forum, given I can only seem to find the i6X on Amazon, is there a major difference between that and the regular i6?

Having not used a FS-i6, I couldn't comment. I find the Orange pretty easy to use though, took me about 10 mins to figure out where most of the functions where that I needed (largely multi-model support and curves).
