I guess my next question is about the n20 motors

Are they all just about the same? (assuming metal gears, 6v, and the speed is the same (like 500 for example)? One seller maybe a little more trustworthy? I want to buy like 20 of them. Based on the comments about the high power pololo ones maybe they aren't all the same and I need to figure out how to shop for them.

I got 20 of the N10 that were listed earlier in the thread (ordered).

I need to figure out n20's now.

Again, thank you enormously for all your help.

Sincerely

We talked about using the boards from 360 degree servos as escs for drive. For a flipper weapon, you don't want continuous rotation. And yeah, n20s are all pretty much the same (except polulu HP n20s)

Oh, OK, cool. I was worried about it for a minute.

The reason I was asking if you are in Maine is that I wanted to know where you compete.

Bangor in Wales
Easy mistake to make - there's an Irish Bangor too I believe. To be fair though, there are a lot of UK place-names that the states shamelessly stole :p

This waiting for verification of credit card information with aliexpress sucks. 5 business days to confirm information that zero other sites ask for is over the top. Sigh. I apologize for venting. I Just had to get that out.

@minionhunter

I can report that the N10 motors I mentioned earlier in the thread - sold as "700 RPM 6V" - were absolutely fine for my robot, I think my wheels are about 22mm. I guess if you used much bigger wheels they would probably be too fast.

NB: I was running those on a 2S pack, like nearly everybody.
Robots: Betsie - RaspberryPi controlled flipper bot with gyro stablisation - too clever for her own good?
Stacie - tidy flipper; 4wd driven by hair bands

Thank you Mark!

I'm still waiting for credit card verification.

Can you think of any reason to get n20s over these n10s? Do the n20s have more power?

as I understand it, the n10's have half the torque of an n20 but all have a little higher rpm from same gearbox...

this is what i think i remember from George's original testing thread..
Team Rocket
Trappist 1(4wd grab 'n' lift)
Ton 618 (4wd expanding bot)
Io(4wd flipper)
