@razerdave: I only have a pair of balance chargers atm for 2/3 cells; may have to invest :L For the time being I'm just using a bench power supply set to constant current charge it up to 4.2v... seems to work ok :L
I've got a video of bits of testing I was doing with Gigantic Death Spinner today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DizRgi_Rd04
May have to be boring and swap the spinner out for a flipping arm; I got some 3.5g, 0.8kg/cm servos for the purpose. The spinner is nicely balanced, but the only thing I've managed to do with it so far is pop some balloons; as soon as it hits anything else goes a little crazy :L
Might make a few more of these; the parts are cheap (though may have to use Lemons instead of Deltangs), and the little servos used for drive are pretty easy to modify... Plus they're hilarious

Re: Another New Antweight..
Wow! That looks really cute! Which servos are you using for drive out of curiosity?
Re: Another New Antweight..
I use 2 of these: http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/st ... ouse_.html
To modify them, I removed the covers for the gears, removed the gears between the motor and the output shaft (there are 8 separate tiny gears in it, so not losing them is a challenge in itself!), then twisted the output shaft until it snapped off the potentiometer.
The potentiometer just unclipped with some careful poking, then I removed it and added a 1.4k resistor from the center pin to the right hand pin (right hand in picture; the pin with more solder on it), and a 1k resistor across the outside pins . The un-equal resistor values was required to make the servo stop at center stick, otherwise a lot of trim was required.
Also had to cut out the little bit of plastic in the top case that stopped it from rotating through 360 degrees.
Then it was just a case of carefully putting it back together and putting a bit of rubber tube round the 4 pin servo horn to make some wheels.. Took about 5-10 mins once I knew what I was doing.
All runs off one of these batteries: http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/st ... ouse_.html. I cut the connector off and just soldered straight to the Lipo terminals to save some space/weight.
The total parts cost for this build was about £7, as I already had the Deltang (courtesy of Scott :L Will probably use Lemon Rxs in later bots; they're still pretty light), and the spinner was made from a broken servo and bits of broken toy helicopter...
I think more people should make Nano weights (aka, sub 25g if taken from the robot sumo definition); They're not that hard if you have some experience already, and they're pretty cheap and comical It would be fun to have an actual Nano weight fight someday

Re: Another New Antweight..
That's fantastic! You really have been a real help! I hope I could try and do this some day. Just checking, can you adapt that connector for a standard JR/ Futaba plug and perhaps run it on 4.8v if necessary? Thanks again!
Re: Another New Antweight..
You could solder a different connector to it; I just soldered the wires straight to the Deltang. I dunno about running it on 4.8v; should be ok, but it's only rated for 4.2V and gets pretty warm as is...

Re: Another New Antweight..
Went ahead and swapped out the spinner for a lifter on my Nanoweight:
Thinking of calling it "Lift-a-little"
it's still only 12g, but can flip my flea weight Haggis over, and can (just) lift Bully Dozer
Just bought the parts for another two Nanoweights to go in a three robot fleaweight cluster (came in under £20). Considering calling the cluster "The situation has only been made worse with the addition of yet more robots" (paraphrased from DR. BEES (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYtXuBN1Hvc)), however I feel it may be a tad excessive, so it may have to be abbreviated to "Yet more robots"

Re: Another New Antweight..
What a robot! My full antweights are nowhere near as good as that! Looks great!
Re: Another New Antweight..
this nanoweight class should be a thing
Re: Another New Antweight..
it's nice to see someone is building nanoweights. i think there was a bit of talk about them on the FRA forum i read. would it be easy to make a pusher? if it's easy to do and cheap i'd be very interested in making a couple just as cluster botlets provided i could learn how to modify the servos.
