Another featherweight update. I've got the scoop and spikes on the front and started on mounting the side armour. I'm running about 12.8kg right now so I should come in just underweight. :)

Last featherweight update before being back to your regularly scheduled antweights. :P

I've finished adding the side armour with some brackets in the middle made of hardox and some 10mm polycarbonate bolted on. Weighing in at 13.59kg it's now ready for fighting again. It should be pretty tough in a fight now and seems to be a good controllable fast rammer.

It seems to have a nice mean cold industrial feel to it now.

I was reading all the posts from the start and I bet you would never have thought when entering Stanley into aws 36 that you would be double reigning champion with him 9 aws' later

Stanley was only ever meant not to break! Accelerant was my only robot at the time and it was hard to control and prone to breaking. So I built Stanley as a robot I could guarantee would make it to an event so I always had an entry. :)

I also re-read the thread, apparently 2013 was a slow year for team Shakey! Also the red version of Carbon just appeared according to this thread. No mention of its construction (Or the poor versions of Stanley which was 2013, I think, before I went back to the old chassis).

I knew Stanley would do well the minute a cruder version knocked me out at Bristol. As usual with ants though, win once, everyone copies your design. Win twice, people design specifically to beat you.

Who would do such a thing? *whistles* :p

Tbh, if you can beat Stanley you can beat most other bots too, so it's not actually bad design motive... Or an easy one :P

I mean, how could anyone call these two similar?

When Stanley gets it's upgrade (if ever) it'll be even worse :L
