That is very impressive.
I wish we had arena's without drop offs.

Re: New Robots- Continued
Well we have much more entertaining fights with just the pit near the corner in my arena and all 4 walls in place. I'd rather a single drop off place and 4 solid walls than 50% drop offs.
Nice work BTW Aaron

Agreed. Or three solid walls and one drop off side would be good too. However I think trying to change it would be a nightmare unless everyone agrees, and I'm not getting involved in trying to fight about rules again cos no-one ever seems to care much.

There are plenty of ways of making an arena with 50% drop-off that don't have two completely open sides. It's just that it's easier to make the battle box (smaller box) if the drop-offs are only on two sides.
Leave the rules alone and think outside (inside?
) the box!

Re: New Robots- Continued
Just a couple of questions here:
1) Any recommendations on wheels around 20-25mm in diameter?
2) I currently use the SuperTek park Flyer HPX-F servo at the moment. However, I've heard from some people at live events that there are better servo's, equally powerful, but more reliable due to metal gears. Anyone know what these are and where to get them?

i think they are the hitec mg2 s, they are quite good but prone to blowing up on 7.4v

The Hitec HS82-MG servos are what I now use in Jigsaw - they're very slightly slower than the HPXFs but have metal gears and are a lot more reliable as long as you don't repeatedly move them backwards and forwards very quickly at 7.4v for too long.

I think I might just stick with the HPXF servo's for now then, since I've never had any problems with their reliabilityJoey wrote:The Hitec HS82-MG servos are what I now use in Jigsaw - they're very slightly slower than the HPXFs but have metal gears and are a lot more reliable as long as you don't repeatedly move them backwards and forwards very quickly at 7.4v for too long.
