Haha, Jamie, that was the Irish version of Dragons Den, so I don't think it was Dave! :P

Yeah, Meat 5 was better looking (and looked a LOT more like Anger!) but they've all gone black this time, due to the use of "classic" duct tape :P

Here's my latest ant which will hopefully be making an appearance at AWS 35.

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac13 ... 6bf6d4.jpg

Name: Tempest 2
Weight: Currently 120g
Length: 9cm
Width: 10cm
Height: 4cm
Weapon: Drum Spinner powered by 18mm Brushless outrunner
Drive: 2x Towerpro 9g servos
Battery: 2 cell 180mAh Lipo
Armour: 1.6mm Titanium and HDPE

Everything works- just need to shorten some wires and make the drum itself which should be done over the weekend.

Wow.Nicely done.
What is the drum made of,how much does it weigh, and how thick is the wall?
Looking forward to seeing what teeth configuration you are going to use. :)

Thanks guys,

This version of the drum is a little heavy at 44g and I am running out of time to get this aluminium version done in time- wall thickness is 3mm at the moment but I intend to reduce it at some point so that it is in weight- I think I may make an HDPE one for the AWS so it can enter and sort out the proper one when I have a bit more time.

I aim to get Tempest completed tomorrow if possible to leave as much time as possible to finish the others but it is going to be a busy week I think
