None of it competing, as it's not finished yet. But there's a few weapons tests.

I've now got one and a half ants built, and hoping to finish the half today so I think it's time to name them! Is there a list of already taken ants so I don't duplicate? I can imagine this question comes up a lot but unfortunately couldn't find anything. Cheers.

There is a sort of list on the website but unfortunately not all robots are on there. Instead just post the name and people will chime in with whether it is taken or not.

We could do with a sticky topic really where people can post their ideas for a name to check whether it has been taken.

There was a heavyweight called Tantrum, and a few in America, but no UK ant so far, so you'd be fine on that.
To be fair, you can call it what you like, regardless of duplicates, as long as they're not at the same event. We've had a fair few duplicate names across the years, and both Marco and Alex use the name Berserker, but they've never been at the same event.

Thanks for that Dave, I'll go with Tantrum for one in that case. I'll be signing them up tonight or very first thing tomorrow, ready for next weekend. I've been lurking on the forums a lot recently trying to gather as much knowledge as I can, and it will be nice to put faces to names. I'm sure my ants on the other hand will be cannon fodder to the more experienced builders :)

Don't be so sure about that! Danny said pretty much exactly those words before the last AWS, and ended up coming 3rd. You can't predict these things.
Looking forward to meeting you :D

Cheers Dave :) Ok for the second ant (which has caused me no end of problems today and still isn't finished......) the name Quantum. Is that one taken? Thanks

Could a quantum robot simultaneously win and lose...?
