I use a bench guilotene or snips for antweight scale titanium.

I've just started designing a new Anto, bit different from previous Anto's but still just a ram bot, over powered and far to fast

Still got Saxon my tracked bot and hoping to have something new, in the shape of a snake.
I've not been around much (mainly work and car related, lousy piece of crap #simpsons) but I am going to back and with some new machines

Well as usual when I'm supposed to be revising I start work on some new robots and this year is no different.

This time I have decided to build a separate ant which can be used at all Roaming Robots and Robots Live events and build others as more competitive ones for the AWS.

The result of a few hours work while at home yesterday is this- haven't decided on a name yet but no prizes for guessing which robot it's based on.

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac13 ... to0412.jpg

Name: ??
Weight: 128g
length: 11cm
Width: 9cm
Height: 4cm
Drive: 2x 50:1 HP motors
Speedo: Planet 5 rx/speedo
Battery: 2 cell 180mAh Lipo
Weapon: Flipper motored by hitec metal geared servo
Armour: mix of 1mm, 0.8mm and 0.5mm Aluminium

Since it is only aluminum this one will be for non spinner fights but should be fun to use :)

Momentum is the other new one that I'm working on will replace Ant Awe 6 on my team and will be another spinner to join Inertia- not sure whether to go horizontal for this one or go for another Inertia

I know the feeling only too well. Whenever exams rolled around, out would come the doodlepad and the CAD package, and umpteen new designs would be born

Looking great though, I'm sure Jonno will enjoy that one. And I'm going to be biased and say build another vertical spinner :)

Thanks guys,

Joey- the shell is made up of several sections of ali which are just superglued together (with a fair amount of glue). To be honest I'm still waiting to see how/if it will stand up to being flipped about but for a couple of hours work I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

Also heres a quick video of it working http://s881.photobucket.com/albums/ac13 ... eo0046.mp4

*edit*

I am leaning towards making Momentum into another vertical- one which looks almost identical to the featherweight since the design seems to work pretty well in both weight classes :) And I think verticals are more fun too :P
