To be more precisely, Dycem is an anti-slip solution that used for on zimmer frames to not slip on it. Same with jars, people who can't opend them who needs better grip.

Lint roller is a bit like a double-sided sticky tape. Dycem isn't exactly sticky but it sure clings to lots of things!
True double-sided sticky tape is really TOO sticky, but does give some fun effects!
What you really need above all is a large surface area in contact with the floor, so wide, soft tyres are the order of the day. The thicker mouse-mat foam is good, especially with elastic band or Dycem "tread" over the top.
Avoid very soft "open cell" foam, since it is just too weak and gets torn apart by the torque of the wheels.
You can make elastic bands sticky by spraying them with WD-40, which attacks the rubber and makes it sticky. Of course the bands need replacing frequently, but at least they're cheap.

A question for the commitee members regarding a design I'm currently working on;
If a robot had a peice of metal that was a wedge, but was also bent down at the sides to become the side armour of the robot, would that be allowed in the current/upcoming rules? The single peice for the sides/wedge is the only peice of metal on the robot.

Classified information I'm afraid
but the Wedge is the whole weidth of the front of the robot, and the side armour (folded down from the wedge) runs all the way from the front to the back of the robot. So I assume that would be a no from you?
