Re: Part recommendation
How would the esc connect to the battery. Do I have to cut and rejoin the cables?

I may give this another go at some point, but for now its over.

Re: Part recommendation
Hmm, I think so, but I'm a little sketchy on the use of BECs. That ESC has a built in BEC, and the NanoTwo has one.
I think if you connect it to the same battery, you need to cut the red wire on the servo wire, so the two BECs don't have to try and supply the same wire.
Perhaps someone else here can confirm that before you do cut it!!

Re: Part recommendation
Yes User Friendly's wiring diagram is correct and is fine as long as you cut the red wire on the brushless ESC's servo lead.

Updated the diagram, so this should be correct i hope (Ignore the fact the the servo lead is missing a wireShakey wrote:Yes User Friendly's wiring diagram is correct and is fine as long as you cut the red wire on the brushless ESC's servo lead.

Re: Part recommendation
Yeah that looks right (except the servo wire).

Re: Part recommendation
Just a thought, but if I cut the wires on the battery and connect the esc between the cuts, how safe is it to charge the battery with the esc attached.
Why hasn't someone invented a small bridge that can be placed in between the battery, NanoTwo and ESC instead of cutting the cables.
Also just realised that i'm probably going to need a on/off switch because of the blade. So can I get a link to a part and some advise as to where to splice it into the diagram.
I figure once the diagram is 100% done, ill have a working spinner by christmas.

You mean a Y lead?oxhey wrote: Why hasn't someone invented a small bridge that can be placed in between the battery, NanoTwo and ESC instead of cutting the cables.
I put switches in by cutting the red wire on the nanotwo and connecting it, the brushless ESC red wire also attaches to the switch. then splice in the brushless ESC black wire to the black wire on the nano two. You should NEVER have to cut the wires on the battery.

What is this "Y" lead you speak of?Shakey wrote:You mean a Y lead?oxhey wrote: Why hasn't someone invented a small bridge that can be placed in between the battery, NanoTwo and ESC instead of cutting the cables.

Can you advise on where I can get this. Iv had a quick look on hobbyking and the y leads are for servos and not power.
Ill work on the updated diagram tomorrow when words start to make sense

Well you'd have to make one.
