Just about fits in with the flipper up.

Just hope my later bots look half as nice as Void 9.0.

The parts for Sharknado finally arrived from Hong Kong. Got 47 grams for the chassis and armour.

I love the name :) this might be a stupid question, but what's that speed controller rated for? It looks quite large relative to the motor size (as does the battery, although at least you wouldn't have to worry about recharging much!)

Those fans work through an astounding amount of power Joey. The one in my old fanbot could draw 15-20A at full tilt on 2 cell!

aaaah, that explains a lot! :) (I'm used to brushless motors attached to things that hit people)

the motor can draws about 20amps so it's a 20 amp ESC. Didn't know how long the battery would last at such a high draw, so stuck a big battery in it to be sure.

Might be getting some carbon fiber 3D printing filament to test, should make for an interesting chassis.

I'd be really interested in seeing how that goes! Just be careful, a lot of printer users report that CF is quite abrasive to the nozzle when printing, just make sure you read up first. :D

Planning to replace my Ultimaker 2 nozzle soon enough anyway so I'm not too bothered. It's bad for brass nozzles like mine, but not too bad with steel ones.

After watching the premier of the new series of BattleBots I thought I should have another crack at my EDF Antweight. Mocked up the chassis and everything fits nicely with space to spare.
