Right, well I am finally going to start my first proper antweight.
I have just bought a Spektrum DX6i to use with my featherweights and the AR6200 reciever seems ideal for ants.
I have a couple of parkflyer servos which have been modded for the drive and I have got a naro servo for the flipper
It seems as though it should be ready for colchester this weekend.
Name- Shock!
Weight- Hopefully 150g
Drive- 2x parkflyer servos
Weapon- flipper powered by a naro servo
Battery 4.8v 2/3 AAA Ni-Mh
Radio- Spektrum DX6i
Armour- mix of 1&2mm HDPE with a 10mm HDPE flipper arm

Hi,
Please remember even though I do have loads of featherweights, this is my first proper ant and I still have a lot to learn.
So far the Naro seems ok for a lifter and is on track to be within the weight limit even with the 10mm HDPE lifting arm (with loads of holes drilled in it). Whether it is within the weight remains to be seen.
Also I don't expect it to be a really competitive ant,
anyway it should be at colchester this weekend and any advice would be a great help.
Thanks

The Naro has more than enough power for a lifting weapon, but don't expect any servo to work as a spectacular flipper!
You might need to invest in some spare gears, the Naro has plenty of torque and the gears are very small. I use HS81MG's - heavy but indestructible (so far). Have used Naros and SD150's before - all worked fine.
The 10mm HDPE sounds like overkill, but if it's what you have to hand then give it a try.
Good luck with it.
