Re: Antweight World Series 53 - University of Southampton
Are there any arrangements for spectators? My brother's local and wanted to pop in and take a look.

Re: Near Chaos Robotics
That's a nice looking ant, I really like the combination of the 3d printed chassis and the forged scoop. Will we be seeing it at the aws next week?

Re: Antweight armour
There are no particular rules regarding armour, you can use whatever you like, the most common choice is polycarbonate, which provides a good balance between protection and weight. A link to the rules are at the top of this forum.

That's really unfortunate about the hidden charges, and very generous of you to pick up the tab. I'll definitely be contributing over the minimum, it's far less than the cost of building a bot, and without people running events the robots aren't much use.

That red front hinged flipper is really nice, and the toaster is a work of art inside and out!

Re: Pneumatic Robot
That's really cool, I'll definitely echo Pete's comment that it's great to see something a bit unusual. Also, don't worry about the robot being 'perfect' before entering a competition, you learn so much from actually competing and seeing the all the other bots, it's definitely worthwhile.
Re: AWS 53?
Really looking forward to this, will your new arena be ready in time?

Re: Kaaz'min Robot Build Diary
That's looking pretty dangerous, it'll be good to see what it can do it at the aws.
Re: AWS 53?
Sounds good, I hope it works out. No need to apologise for the location, events will always be further for some people than others, and it's not like Southampton is the middle of nowhere anyway.
