Re: Some driving questions
Shakey pretty much covered it! I'm gonna have a bash at breaking down mixing a touch more (in case it's needed). Re: What is a team?
So my favorite bots I see are the ones that are game changers, especially the odd ones. Rbmk, the mantis bot, the oragami bot (I'm sorry I don't know its name) the ones really unique. The origami bot? I honestly have no idea which one you're referring to. Could you timestamp a fight that it's in?

Re: Building an arena question
Oh Kyro does like to exaggerate regarding the Devo :P What's good about the devo then. Uuuh, it's powerful. The interface is horribly technical and non-user friendly, but does allow you to do your own programming. It's rare you'd want this power (I've only used it once and that was to make 4WD with ...

I do suggest you try the old polycarb and hacksaw approach to building. It's just a totally different experience, and the bit that I personally really enjoy.
It looks scarily good though man. Have you fixed the pivot issue?

Re: What is a team?
Not quite - the spinners are balanced so there's little to no vibration. Pick up a fidget spinner, spin it vertically, then try to turn it horizontally. Can you feel it trying to rotate in your grip? Because the 2 big spinners on RBMK are not horizontal but angled, if one slows down then the gyrosco...

Re: Building an arena question
Chris does use these forums, though iff the top of my head I have no idea what his username is. Hmm. Okay, just looked it up. cmalton. For the record though - building an arena is NOT cheap, and Chris' is especially flash. Mostly you want 6mm (minimum) thickness polycarb for the walls, with both an ...
