Tight budget shouldn't be much of a problem unless it's incredibly tiny, the motor costs ?26 and a brushless controller to run it will be about ?10, you might be able to shop around and pay less. I haven't clocked speed or anything, that's a bit technical for me :P but according to the specs it's 22...

There's no limit in the rules as to how many parts you can have - the main limits are likely to be practical: a) the weight/size limit - 20 grams is about as low as you can go for a normal ant and all parts have to fit in the 4 inch cube at once so eaach one has to be small - and b) if you have lots...
