Probably, personally I would stick to electrolytics as I've always used that type with the 78 series voltage regs - cheap from a Maplin etc

Had a great time on Saturday, being backstage was good fun
Enjoyed having chats with people wandering up to see what the ants were about

Like the video, the ant looks quite handy

Hard to get the thickness exact but I have a bench grinder
Its handy for some free form grinding and these things are 20-30 quid or so
Great for sharpening things etc as well

I had problems with Sabertooth running 2 motors and a servo through the BEC
I built a 6V regulator for the servo direct off the battery. That solved the issues

Some work to do
Need a proper lid for the top
The linkage between the flipper and servo needs to be constructed
I need to learn how to drive the bot
