Re: Team S-R build's

jray, that looks amazing.

How is the opposite side of that weapon supported? Is it a dead shaft or live? Is there a bearing in there somehow?

It spins nicely though whatever it is.

Re: TeamScrewUps poopoo bots

At 13cm it might be ok depending on what the other dimensions are and the exact shape, I suggest you build a cube to check.

TPU is great armour if it's thick enough because stuff just bounces off. Good work.

Re: Thinking about a one off competition.

Yeh the £6 iron will probably get hot, but I wouldn't want to use it much. Get one with a stand and some amount of control. You will also need some solder and a few other bits, I'd recommend solder wick (for getting off excessive solder) and some flux. Something to clean the iron tip (sponge thing o...

Re: ESC with built-in receiver - interesting?

Oh yes - one more thing - the servo pulses outputs (for brushless too) - won't activate when in config mode. So all you have to do is drive the robot (very slightly) and you should be able to start the spinner (also do any arming procedure required by your esc). When you turn the tx off, it will sto...

Re: ESC with built-in receiver - interesting?

Hi, The weapon2 channel (you probably want to use that) is channel4 by default on most of the boards I've made. That means usually the left-hand stick left/right for the weapon speed, which is not ideal. You can swap them with the 8-pulses config command (see the doc) and then the brushless weapon w...

Re: ESC with built-in receiver - interesting?

I haven't tested it with any multiprotocol transmitter but I have at least one report that it works ok. I think Joe used a multiprotocol one in this video:

That sucks, now it is impossible to have events in England or Scotland, up to 30 people are still allowed in Wales?

Re: Antweight ESCs

My ESC with built-in receiver, Malenki-Nano, is available on the BBB web site and has braking built in.

But that *only* works if you use a AFHDS2A compatible transmitter, e.g. Turnigy i6. If you want to use some other transmitter, look elsewhere.

Re: Ant Battery

No, those are out of stock too. I picked some up at the beginning of the year and I noticed there is now a big shortage of small lipo packs, even the usual ebay sellers which Kyro recommended don't have any more small packs (<300mah) There are still some 300mah 2s packs on HK but they're a bit on th...
