I understand the above point but I also get the logic of mcscruff as buying a kit all in one it's hard to learn when something is already assembled for you

I could possibly help hold an event in Birmingham around April/May 2016. I don't have an arena but I know of several community centres here which are very cheap to hire

Have a look on YouTube for videos there are a small fee of guys building robots as well as many duals of antweight robots for inspiration

I think I'd like to experiment myself I feel as if I'd learn a lot more through that. With the motors you mentioned above and a 7.4v battery what output would I need in Amps or Volts?

I just thought maybe we could hold more events through out the year on a smaller scale as they would be easier to organise it would depends on how big the roboteer community is

Just a suggestion and maybe a long term idea.

Ofcourse you wouldn't want to eliminate the open events
