Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers

Yeah, code's been tweaked for these.

They're not direct Deltang copies, but they use the same chip.

They're not significantly lighter than the lemonRX I use in the NanoTwo (both less than 2g or so) but at this size, they can be put almost anywhere in the robot :L

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers

Starting to look into the next generation of antweight and nanoweight ESCs. This is the prototype of the PicoTwo controller which I'm looking at as a possible upgrade from the NanoTwo. It's currently using one of the tiny deltang knock off DSM2 RXs, but am hoping to move it to a similar sized DSMX c...

They're £20 for just the ESC.

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds

By the sounds of it I need to reinstate the N2LVs until I can find a proper solution for DSMX compatibility. (https://docs.google.com/document/d/19oFbqru5-Iwutio1Mt0i7QXO_RsyPf8I7_5n3YKdTXg/edit?usp=sharing) They just plug into a regular RX using servo leads so can be used with both DSM2 and DSMX re...

Re: Low cost DIY esc

You could do a kit with just a pre-programmed microcontroller, a motor driver chip, a 5v regulator and a few capacitors for less than £6. For that price you could even get some PCBs made up to make the process even easier; I use this company for PCBs these days and they're stupidly cheap as long as ...

Re: Cereal Killer

Yes I have, no it doesn't work with the standard firmware on the ESC, but I've written a custom firmware to make them work with the DasMikro RXs

Re: Brushless motor help

Those motors run fine on 2S; a lot of antweight spinners use them.

Re: Another newbie - does my parts list make sense?

Unfortunately yes it is DSM2 only, however the DSMX transmitters blade transmitters do apparently work with DSM2 as well. Though if you're spending £29 on a Blade TX, you might as well spend slightly more and get the much better value for money Devo 7E ( http://robotwars101.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f...
