Re: Team Shakey Build Diary

Those moulded wheels look good, maybe I should be looking at four horizontal spinners for the next AWS?

Re: Unstick and postponement rules

I like the idea of one unstick but its going to be very difficult to judge.

I also think the arena should play a role in the fight, there is nothing that says the arena surface has to be painted wood. We could have a difficult terrain area made of spikes or sand.

Re: Nanoweight Robots

That sounds like fun :) could we cover the nanos with Velcro and some on the arena roof to see if they stick?

Re: 3D printers

I have been thinking about getting a decent lathe, but a 3d printer would get more use. I don't want to spend a fortune but I want good detail in the parts.

What 3d printers do you guys have, what are the pros/cons would you recommend it or do you know of something else good on the market?

Shapeways WS&F Price Change

I have just had an email from shapeways with there new pricing system. I used to put all my parts into a single file so I only got the €1.5 handeling fee once, this has changed to €1.5 per part making multiple parts very very expensive. One of my multiple parts files for €2 new price €35. The overal...

Re: AntWeight Parts Online & Offline

I am looking for a motor / servo with more than 10kg / cm torquethe more the better as speed isn't important. I have used a fingertech silver 300:1 but the gearbox failed in the middle of the chain. I am going to get a 600 : 1 motor but wanted to see if anyone knows of anything under 40g.
