Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall
Many thanks, had me worried for a moment ;) Might be worth clarifying the wording of that rule then to be more explicit... something like this perhaps? 5g) A team may enter a maximum of four robots. i. Upon entering four robots, three can be of any mobility currently permitted, the fourth must be ei...

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall
Ah OK, thanks. So in that case, in the event of a team entering multiple Ants (meaning more than 1, which includes myself), at least one of them has to be a walker or cluster or does that only apply to teams where they are entering 4?

Where is this mentioned in the rules?AWS rules state a maximum of 4 bots per team, and at least one of the 4 must be a clusterbot or a walker.

Re: Team Kaizen - Ikari
So it has been a while since my last post but I've been gathering all the parts together and the last piece was the OrangeRX Tx6i transmitter that came yesterday so today I've been busy. ;) Managed to successfully bind the NanoTwo and even get the 56:1 Solarbotics motors onto a PVC board with mounts...

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall (TBC)
Done and done, Ikari and Osu will be there. Might have a third entrant as well if I can get that ready in time.

Re: Much competition?
I dunno to be honest as to where they hang out - I suspect more to the FRA forum but even then, Beetle builders tend to be part of a team that also runs a Feather or a Ant. There was the UWE Beetle Brawl back in February, I think there is another one at Robots Live! Burgress Hill (too far for me sad...

Re: BBC robot wars cancelled.??
Well they did say they were going to do a Featherweight event at one point (for series 9 I think) but they then shelved that indefinitely.

Re: Hello, My robots.
I haven't seen anyone talk about that 2nd ESC you mentioned. Does it have the bells and whistles of the more popular ones like the braking and steering mix etc? If they are the ones I am thinking of, they are single channel ESCs which are fairly basic but robust - Osu uses a pair of them for its dr...

I should have my new Ant built by then so I should be able to make this
