Re: Team Shakey Robotics - Ant parts for sale!
...Rapidrory hasn't got back to my email I sent a few days ago, must of gone straight to junk mail or he's busy, which is fine. I'm just super keen to get started! This forum may be a little bit quiet atm, because they've just been filming the latest series of Robot Wars in Glasgow! I'm sure you'll...

Re: Antweight crusher need help!
I really like your crusher design. Personally I would stick with the motor rather than the servo and include a current limiter to prevent stalling the motor. If you are really keen on using a servo to check out hobby king : https://hobbyking.com/en_us/servos/all.html?___store=en_us A lot of them spe...

Re: My first ant was not a success: Onto the second!
Ideally, your servo arm goes parallel with your flipper. From the video, yours is the opposite, if you see what I mean.
You will get more movement from the flipper if it attaches nearer the flipper hinge.

Re: 3D printed scalextric wheels for antweights.
@dcr raptor I've made my own silicone tyres: http://i.imgur.com/zPS6Hd1.png https://youtu.be/LzBm1Zx5Yh0 If you have a 3D printer, you can print off my wheel design and wheel mould design, and print and cast your own quite cheaply. (linked in video) Also, I've made some other smaller wheels and tire...

Re: UserFriendly Build Diary
Has anyone successfully changed the pinion on these?
I have attempted this before, but damaged the motor (I presumably bent the rotor shaft slightly, pushing it on)
If you have, how did you do it?

Sounds like a great time. I've just started to watch Harry's video (https://youtu.be/3EAgyEGjKCA ) and looks like a lot of fun.
Hoping to be at the next event!
