Re: Another noob bot

I think I got confused between AFHDS and DSM while searching for 6i alternatives. I've found some threads suggesting the i6 over the i6s due to the i6s only being able to handle AFHDS A2. Acronym overload, I guess. I did know about the physical limit of the MG90S, but it was limiting to 180 d...

Re: Another noob bot

Another update - I hope you're prepared for many fails. I soldered the two Bustophedons together to share power lines and whatnot. I hoped that getting rid of some of the wires would reduce the weight a bit. It barely changed! Together, they weigh about 20g, which is kinda heavy. Might do the...

Re: Much competition?

i had that issue with FRA, too. said it was awaiting authorization which never came.

i tried using a different email more recently, and the message had changed - you now only get access if you pay up a fiver per year, so i paid up on my original account.

even that seems a bit quiet.

They're back in stock!

I know I shouldn't, but I'm buying another one. Hopefully it's a new batch without whatever defect it had that caused them to asplode.

Re: BBC robot wars cancelled.??

Realistically, I do wonder just how interesting series 11 might've been. Would there have been new and exciting robots, or would it be mostly the same old bunch? oh, apollo vs. carbide again! yaay? They could probably do with switching to a different weight class. Get school teams to compete or some...

Re: Another noob bot

Forgive me, forummers, it has been flippin ages since my last confession.. :P I'd like to say that I've built an amazing bot that's sure to win in every fight, but I can't say that because I haven't even made armour, or a card mockup, or a definitive drawing.. My lack of progress is mainly down to i...

Re: Newbie - DasMikro Burnout

Sent a note to Banggood and a picture. They asked for pictures of the shipping label (on the parcel) and the SKU code (the label on the product packaging). They have offered a £12 refund. same here. the refund went through this morning. can't fault their service! not gonna buy another one, tho. can...

Re: Newbie - DasMikro Burnout

If your Transmitter has mixing you can buy 2 10A esc off eBay for £10 and splice the wires together to share a battery. They are just very heavy for an antweight. I was thinking of doing that. Even though one of my DasMikros is working, I don't like the unpredicatability - I feel like it might expl...
