Re: jes's build log

Luke, I'm looking at the FS-2a and it claims to be 4 channel, but doesn't look like it has an aux? How do you bind it? Or does the FLysky protocol work differently to DSM2?

Re: ESC questions & why not USA shipping

I will mention that servo boards do not have a built in bec for your receiver. Some receivers are perfectly happy with full 2s lipo, some aren't. If you do need to get a bec to go with it though, they don't add much.

Re: ESC questions & why not USA shipping

Braking can also be achieved using a resistor across the motor terminals - Shakey did a thread on this a while ago, though it's been referenced relatively recently somewhere? My bots don't all have brake. By which I mean Jiggy Sawdust has brake, and that's because it runs the NanoTwo. I actually fin...

Re: ESC questions & why not USA shipping

N20s typically have a stall current of <1A. Unless you get Polulu High Power ones, but they're kinda pointless for drive in an ant. In terms of choosing your N20, I like 500 or 600 rpm ones for drive. I get mine from AliExpress, though I'm aware some people have issues with quality control from some...

Also E404 - How much pushing power does it have? I'd imagine that the Mechanum wheels do not offer the best grip?

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal

You pretty much need a grab+lift type robot (grabbing alone doesn't usually allow you to move the opponent that well) *cough* Jiggy *cough* I know Jiggy is far from what I'd call a competative bot, but I can control people pretty well if I get a grab! You don't need a grab and lift - a really unsta...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal

As someone who drives a grabber, I always try to remain in the arena for style points, but I always figured that the Aggressor rule trumped the Pit Floor rule. I've never really been too happy with the pit floor rule - like it makes sense for if you bounce back out, but if you're in the pit YOU'RE I...

I use a flashed Devo7e for dsm2? I believe that's the standard.
