Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019

Thank you so much to Dave, Sarah and everyone else who was involved in organising AWS 60. Despite returning home with two smashed bots and no wins I still had a blast. Can't wait for the next one!

Re: MichaelG92's Build Diaries

Added the finally touches to ArmamAnt! this morning, it's stickers and newly printed top panel. As the name suggests, it's a tribute to the legend that is JP and I love how it looks with the stickers now! https://795nza.bn.files.1drv.com/y4myycXKQjtr8FPsnz2gE_AqYNvxNOk35ert5aL-3tFTSBLDD6YVpB0wFYgwe3...

Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019

I'll get there as early as I can, thankfully only live about an hour away.

Really looking forward to it! Thanks to all involved in organising.

Re: Ellis's (Team BANANAPHONE/A12) build log!

Looks good! I'm hoping someone else can back me up on this, but someone told me recently that there's a 2% tolerance for the scales? So you may not have to save weight. At least that's what I'm hoping, otherwise I'll be hacking bits of MicroNewton on the day. Definitely double check with someone fir...

Re: MichaelG92's Build Diaries

After two months in development hell, due to issues such as a burnt out speed controller, waiting for the correct type of screws to arrive and actually having time to work on it, I'm delighted to say that ArmamAnt! has finally been assembled and is up and running. https://6n4s4w.bn.files.1drv.com/y4...

Re: MichaelG92's Build Diaries

MicroNewton got a quick run out at Bristol Bot Builders' event last Sunday, taking part in the 2v2s with Dave Weston's Stewie. And we did very well, finishing third. Sadly I suffered the same electrical fault in the two fights we lost that lead to MicroNewton stopping dead in its tracks both times. ...

So glad I asked, the ESC I'd been looking at was 30A and weighed 24g...! Cheers!

Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019

I'd suggest a combination of Kyro and Andrew's suggestions; see how many actually turn up on the day first, then if necessary ask teams with 4 robots to drop down to 3. If there's still too many I'd suggest that those teams with 3 robots nominate one to enter into pre-qualifying to claim the last sp...

What weapon motor/ESC combination are you using out of interest?

Re: Ellis's (Team BANANAPHONE/A12) build log!

Ah mocks, the bane of my teenage years. Good luck with them! Am I right in thinking v2's chassis is bigger? Is it much heavier? Not sure I'd want MicroNewton fighting it anytime soon! Maybe one of my newer flippers which have much thicker fronts... Also, kudos to you for making a spinner as your fir...
