Re: T_Y's Build Log

The spanner I've picked up for PM BW clocks in at around 150g. Realistically, I think I won't be able to build anything bigger than a beetleweight with my current workspace/tools, but it would be nice to see Percussive Maintenance bigger at some point in the future! E404 has basically no pushing pow...

Re: T_Y's Build Log

With AntFreeze 7 in a few weeks, I've been busy getting the team ready. HYTTIOAOA had little in the way of repairs. All that needed doing was to get some slightly larger wheels printed off and attached, to help prevent the drive issues I had in the fight against RBMK. For PM2, I tweaked the design s...

Re: Cutting Polycarbonate sheet on budget CNC router

I mostly use 1.5mm PC, the way I cut it is to draw the outline of the shape I want, then score along the line with a Stanley knife and a metal ruler, aup to around halfway through, then bend and snap on a table corner. For internal slots (for wheels etc.) I use a small pin vice to drill out the corn...

Re: T_Y's Build Log

So, AWS60. I think this event was the one I had the most fun at, despite not winning any fights. HYTTIOAOA's first fight was against the infamous RBMK. I was actually looking forward to this fight, and feeling fairly confident. If my drive was working properly, I think I had a chance at corralling i...

I use one of these https://hobbyking.com/en_us/battery-monitor-2-6s.html

It plugs into the balance lead and shows you the total charge, then the individual cells

Re: T_Y's Build Log

Can confirm the power hungry nature of the servos - I managed to over-discharge a battery while testing. Very powerful though.

Re: T_Y's Build Log

It seems like there are some wiring issues with Error 404. Because I don't have a huge amount of free time between now and AWS, I've made the decision to replace it with HYTTIOAOA for AWS 60 (I'll still bring it along though). So, here is the competing team, PM2 and HYTTIOAOA V3. https://i.imgur.com...
