Re: A Hotel, constructed of Limas, for Ants: A Build Diary
Oooooh, actually whilst I'm here - does anyone have experience with pinless Lemons? I'm looking at them and they seem a no-brainer, right? Save weight and more importantly SPACE - but binding... With no pins for the plug what, do I just solder a wire across the terminal and the ground on the Bind ra...

More for myself so I don't keep having to trawl through the video when people ask me how I did and aren't satisfied with "Not well", but TIMESTAMPS! https://youtu.be/2Q1-1wDGhec?t=117 https://youtu.be/2Q1-1wDGhec?t=762 https://youtu.be/2Q1-1wDGhec?t=2216 https://youtu.be/2Q1-1wDGhec?t=3945...

Re: A Hotel, constructed of Limas, for Ants: A Build Diary
after a little browsing Hobbykinjg, I'm thinking some Hextronic MG-14s would do? 14g (so 6g lighter than the Pink servo), 2.6kg torque, 0.11s 60 degree rotation time... it's on the slow side next to the pink servo for sure, but reviews are solid and the price is low. Should work for a grabber, right?

Okay, I am LATE writing this here. AWS57 was FUN. It has me absolutely hype for whichever event I can make next! After AWS I kinda ran straight off to London for a quick job that was going, then Brighton, Cambridge, then finally home last night. I'm stir crazy already. So. Long overdue writeup: I ha...

Re: Back Again! Knighthood Build Concept
I've used 3 DasMikros, and I've yet to have any problems with them? I had one pad that REFUSED to accept solder, but I fixed that by using Glue gun. I dunno whether they've improved their quality control a touch since the mass failures of Dasmikros last year, but I'm happy with my 3 (ordered in Dece...

I think I may need to lose the key tomorrow morning after getting to the event. There's also plenty of room for dril...

Brain is built for Jiggy - thanks for suggesting looking for end points. The devo didn't have anything there, but in mixing I found scale and turned it up to 125. Clean 90degree motion accomplished!

If not, it's riding VERY high. What I sh...

Re: A Hotel, constructed of Limas, for Ants: A Build Diary
Yo, so I've dug out the old rubble sack of Lego (I promise there WILL be pictures of things!) and my plan had been to just epoxy lego wheels straight onto the n20 axles, though I'm no realising that would be a terrible idea. I do have access to a 3d printer (Not a clue what it prints in - probably j...
